Photographic - Scanning

What is Digital ICE®?

ICE stands for Image Correction and Enhancement and is used to detect and remove dust and scratches on dye-based films such as C41 or E-6 process films. It uses a seperate infrared scan of the image to produce a "defect" map to correct the faults in the image such as minor scratches and dust. Because it needs to be able to "see" through the film it does not work with silver-based black and white film or Kodachrome. Monochrome C41 process films such as Ilfords XP2 or Kodaks T-Max CN can be used.

Can you copy copyright material?

We cannot copy material that contains a copyright. We can only transfer material which you have the rights to or that you have obtained permission to use and can provide documentation to that effect (see our Terms and Conditions).

How long does it take?

The scanning time depends upon the number of images. You can normally expect your disc in approximately 15 working days after funds have cleared (5 working days for cheques). We will try to advise you when we receive your order. We will always get in touch if there are any delays with your order.
