High quality scans from your XPAN® films up to 4000 ppi with Digital ICE4® correction.
What happens?
We scan your films at 4000 ppi unless otherwise asked to ie. images for the web. The images are scanned with Digital ICE4 which helps to reduce scratches and dust on your films (not all films benefit from this technology such as silver-based black and white film - see frequently asked questions for more information). If your images require more than minor defects removing then we offer an image restoration service - click here for more information.
Each image is then altered for levels only, we
will not do any other alterations to your scans eg. colour balance,
crop, etc. unless you specifically ask
us to.
We
will
supply you with
your
images,
as 8
bit
uncompressed
Tiff files (PC byte order unless you specify Mac byte order) saved
in the Adobe RGB (1998) colourspace on CD or DVD for larger quantities
(30
or more).
We can provide your files in different formats such as JPEG or Photoshop
if requested. We can also provide your images as 16 bit scans if requested
but this
will
incur
a surcharge
due to the increased file sizes and scanning times - click

Postage
We use a "secure postage and packaging" system. We first despatch your scans back to you. Once you notify us of their safe arrival we will then despatch your originals back to you. Please click here for details of our postage rates.

All prices include the required number of CDs or DVDs (for quantities greater than 15 images) to process the job. If you don't have a DVD drive then we can supply you with all your scans on CD but remember1 DVD takes up a lot less space than 6 CDs.

Films should be supplied unmounted in single frames.

Print the form and fill in all your details. Send the form with your order (don't forget to read the postage page before posting) along with payment to the address on our contact page. Payment
We currently accept the following method of payment:
Cheques or POs in Pounds Sterling
You can either send the total amount with your order, made payable to 12
Knights Multimedia, if you are sure of the cost or else contact us
with all your details and we will calculate the cost for you. When the funds
have cleared we will process your job. If at any time you are unsure about
anything then please don't hesitate to contact

Surcharge for 16 bit scans
Please add 25% to the total scanning price before postage.
