Postal prices for Photographic scans

Posting your material to us

We would recommend that all material is sent to us via the Royal Mail Recorded Delivery Service as this has to be signed for and is generally more secure than standard postal services, as we cannot be held responsible for the loss of your material in transit to us.

Photographs need to be sent in a card backed envelope, available from any good stationers eg. WHSmith, to prevent them getting creased. Alternatively pack them between two pieces of strong corrugated cardboard to protect them as they travel.


Slides should be sent in the boxes in which they were originally supplied, inside a padded envelope. Loose slides should be grouped together in elastic bands and ideally wrapped in something like bubble wrap to prevent damage, especially if they are in glass mounts.

Posting your material back to you

All material is sent to you using the Royal Mail Recorded Delivery Service as this has to be signed for and is generally more secure than standard postal services.

Once the material has been transferred we will send the CDs/DVDs to you for checking. We will advise you when this is happening. After you have checked the disc(s) and you notify us that everything is alright, we will return your original material. Again we will advise you when we do this. This should ensure that should the worst happen and one package goes missing, there will still be a copy, in one form or another, of all your material.
